What we collect
Contact form submissions: when you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email, message, and any optional fields you choose to provide. These submissions are delivered to our inbox via Formspree and are used only to respond to your inquiry.
Newsletter signups: when you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it only to send occasional updates about Chillax Creek. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
Booking information: when you book through our site, OwnerRez (our booking provider) collects the information needed to process the reservation, including your name, contact details, payment information, and stay dates. See the OwnerRez privacy policy for details.
Site analytics: we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. We do not sell or share this information.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiries and confirm bookings
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for
- To improve our site, content, and guest experience
- To comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, etc.)
Who we share with
We share your information only with the service providers needed to operate the site and your booking — currently OwnerRez (bookings & payment), Formspree (contact form), and any email service we use to send the newsletter. We do not sell your information.
Cookies
This site itself sets very few cookies. The OwnerRez booking widget may set cookies to remember your search and preferences during checkout. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings — note that doing so may limit some features (e.g., the availability calendar may not remember your dates between page loads).
Cameras at the property
For security, exterior cameras cover the driveway and main entry of the property. There are no cameras inside the cabin or in any private outdoor area (hot tub, fire pit area, balconies, fenced backyard portions). Exterior camera footage is retained for a short period and used only for security and incident review.
How long we keep data
- Contact form messages: kept indefinitely in our inbox unless you ask us to delete them
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe
- Booking records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting law
- Camera footage: typically rotated within 14–30 days
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To do so, contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
